Drop-off Points ~
Sunday Memorial Walk ~ as a tribute to the late Tony Thornton, we have arranged a ‘walk for all’ for to-day with a railway theme (Tony loved his trains!).
Self-drive / car-share to our start point at Goathland. Roger will lead a ‘B’ walk, Vinnie will lead a shortened ‘C’ walk. A very easy ‘Stroll’ option has also been incorporated … hopefully something for everyone.
Town Walk ~ This SELF-LED 3.5 mile leisurely stroll takes you around the town, delving into Whitby’s past and uncovering some of its secrets(???). Starting and finishing at our hotel, this is a bespoke route that has been compiled exclusively for our weekend.
For further information or advice regarding the walks, contact Vinnie Anderson
Our hotel occupies a commanding position with wonderful views over the beaches, harbour and lovely old town … and towards the dramatic abbey ruins.
Bursting with seafaring heritage, Whitby’s narrow cobbled streets invite you to step back in time … so much so that you might expect to bump into Captain Cook or Count Dracula!!!
